Dear participant, thank you for your interest.  Here are some rules for your parents or guardians to know about:

THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.
ENTRY IN A CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

The contest is designed to encourage eligible U.S. school students and their parents/guardians on their behalf to use their creativity to express their love for the wonderful religion of Islam. Judges will choose the winning entries, and prizes will be awarded in accordance with the official rules as below. The submission must be accompanied by the entry form.

BINDING AGREEMENT: You must agree to the rules in order to compete and win the prizes. These rules form a binding legal agreement between you and Islamic Art Expressions Inc. (“IAE”) with respect to the Contest.

ELIGIBILITY: Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent legal U.S. resident. Must be enrolled in a private or public school (grades K-12) or a home school (grades K-12) in the United States. The contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees of IAE are ineligible to participate in this contest.

SPONSOR: The Contest is privately sponsored by IAE.

CONTEST PERIOD: Different contests with variable submission dates will be held throughout the year. See specific contest terms for details.

HOW TO ENTER: Paper or electronic submissions as may apply specifically to each section of the contest must be emailed to submit@islamicartexpressions.com along with the entry form provided on our website. IAE accepts no responsibility for submissions lost, delayed, damaged, defaced, or mislaid, howsoever caused. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of entry.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Submissions must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or slanderous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, or discriminatory in any way. It should not promote hatred against any group or person. There should be no submission of any material contrary to all applicable federal, state, or local laws. No third-party advertising, slogan, logo, or trademark should be used. Submissions should be original work. Paper submissions should be scannable. IAE reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet these requirements. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these rules will be disqualified. The contestant retains ownership of the original material. However, as a condition of entry, the entrant grants IAE an irrevocable, unrestricted, transferable, and royalty-free permission to use, reproduce, publish, disseminate and publicly display the submission for any purpose without any provenance or compensation to the entrant. The entrant will be solely responsible for any charges or expenses incurred during submission for the contest. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, IAE reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel the contest. As a condition of entry, the entrant indemnifies IAE to the maximum extent permitted by law, at all times from and against any liability, claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses resulting from participating in the contest.

DISQUALIFICATIONS: A submission will be disqualified if not an original work, or if it contains logos or copyrighted imagery. Only one entry per student. Any additional submissions will be disqualified. Entries received without a completed entry form or without a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature will be disqualified.

JUDGING: Each entry will be judged based on artistic skill, creativity, and originality. Decisions of the judges are final and binding. In the case that there are not enough eligible entries, not all prizes will be awarded.

PRIVACY: Entrants agree and acknowledge that personal data submitted with an entry, including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, stored, and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering the contest.

LEGAL: The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
